The following applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and any or all Agreements:
“Party”, “Parties”, or “Us”, refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves.
All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration, or any other means, for the express purpose of meeting the Client’s needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing English Law.
The following terms and conditions apply only to the supply and delivery of products, services and information from the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce.
The term ‘Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce’, ‘HACC’, ‘Chamber’ ‘us’ ‘ourselves’ or ‘we’ refers to the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce whose office is at 8th Floor Ocean House, 87-89 London Road, St. Leonards-on-Sea, TN37 6LW.
The term “Member”, “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person accessing services or products from Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions.
Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.
Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce is a trading name of Let’s Do Business (South East) Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07422542 whose registered office is at 7-9 Wellington Square, Hastings, E. Sussex, TN34 1PD.
Other Applicable Terms and Policies: the following additional terms also apply to the person accessing services, products or information from Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions set out below:
- Our Acceptable Use Policy, which sets out the permitted uses and prohibited uses of our website. When using our website, you must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Our Terms and Conditions, which set out the terms that apply to membership fees and our cancellation policy for events.
By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are also confirming that the information you have given is true and correct.

Information We May Collect From You
We may collect and process the following data about you:

This includes information provided at the time of becoming a member, registering to use our site, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site or your membership.
- If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
- We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
- Details of transactions you carry out with us and in the fulfilment of your membership, bookings or arrangements with HACC.
- Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
- Details of your attendance at our events.
We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
Where We Store Your Personal Data
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. When you become a HACC member, book to attend an event or sign up to receive information, we will add you to our email database so that you can receive our newsletter and other information from us electronically. We take your privacy seriously and under the terms of the Act, will not pass your contact details to a third party, other than as set out in ‘Disclosure of Your Information’ below. You can unsubscribe at any point, but if you are a member, please contact us so we can discuss how we can keep you informed about the benefits of your membership.

Retention of Your Personal Information
We will retain your personal information as follows:
- Your current personal information will be retained for as long as you continue to be a member of the Chamber or it is amended or updated by you. Should you notify us of changes to your personal information, we will retain your previous personal information for a maximum period of 12 months, unless you advise us to delete it sooner.
- Non-members, visitors and guests. We will only retain sufficient information in order to comply with our contractual agreement with you. We will retain your personal information for a maximum period of 12 months, from the date the last product, service or information was provided to you, unless you advise us to delete it sooner.
Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.
We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.
We may also disclose your personal information to trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential and you have indicated you wish to receive contact from them.

- Other Relevant Terms, Conditions and Policies
These terms apply to the payment obligations of members and are in addition to any other terms and conditions that HACC provide you with when becoming a member, or on renewal, that will then apply to your membership.
Membership renewal fees are payable by online payment, BACS or Cheque.
You will receive an email notification approximately 4 weeks before your renewal payment is due.
If you do not wish to renew your membership, please let us know within 7 days of receipt of the notification email. Call us on 01424 205500 or email email@example.com
If you wish to cancel your membership after your renewal fee has been paid, our cancellation policy for membership is as follows: Cancellation within 1 month of renewal: full refund less a £20 + VAT administration charge.
HACC reserves the right to not unreasonably cancel, not renew or accept new membership applications for any reason it considers this appropriate.
Non-members, also described as guests or visitors are welcome to book and attend up to two events before they need to join. Please note our cancellation policy below.
Our cancellation policy for events, is that a full refund will be given if cancellation is 3 working days or more before the event. If you cancel within 3 working days of the event, or do not attend, no refund will be provided.
Credit Card and Telephone Purchases
When placing an order with us either on-line or by telephone, you are entering into a legally binding contract under UK law.
We accept on-line orders using the following cards, Visa, MasterCard, Switch and Maestro.
We also accept orders by telephone. You can telephone your orders on 01424 205500.
All orders received are subject to acceptance by Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce. You may receive an automatically generated acknowledgement of order, but this is not acceptance, which will be communicated to you separately.
We have made every effort to make clear whether the quoted prices for goods and services available through our site include any relevant tax or duty. Where in any case it is not clear please note that before you place an order that you might be required to bear a liability to tax or duty (for example VAT) that is in addition to the price.
