It may be summer recess for many, including Chamber meetings, but that doesn’t mean everything stops until September. Speaking of which we are delighted to confirm details of our next meeting when we will be welcoming back Amber Rudd, the Member of Parliament for Hastings and Rye.
Believe it or not it is more than 2 years since Amber last addressed the Chamber, when she campaigned for the remain vote at our BREXIT debate in May 2016.
Well it’s been a whirlwind 2 years since then, with Amber being appointed Home Secretary in July of that year; a post which saw her unable to attend our Hustings event in May 2017, due to the tragic terrorist events in Manchester at that time, and then tender her resignation in April of this year.
But one thing remains constant we still haven’t got a clue what BREXIT will mean!
So, join us for our first meeting after the summer recess, when you get your chance to hear from, question and feedback to your MP on the issues facing your business and maybe, just maybe we might find out what BREXIT will mean for local business.
Please note this meeting is earlier in the month than usual and on a Friday to tie in with her constituency day availability.
