A packed café spilled onto the balcony at the Jerwood Gallery, who were fantastic hosts for June’s Chamber breakfast meeting and gave members, visitors and guests the opportunity of a private viewing of celebrated artist, Quentin Blake’s, superb The Only Way to Travel exhibition.
Despite more autumnal elements than hoped for early summer sunshine, caterers from the Webbe’s team warmed the very lively audience with a tasty breakfast to fuel some energetic and productive networking.
Chamber member, Fiona Allman-Treen, FAT Promotions Ltd, later posted ‘Great Hastings Chamber meeting earlier at the fabulous Jerwood Gallery with Webbe’s catering!
Our thanks go to Anna McCrickard and Kate Giles for looking after us so well.
As we lead in to the summer break, our July meeting will be hosted by Chamber member, Matthew Bates, who will showcase his new venue The Welcome (formerly The Welcome Stranger). Members will be amongst the first to sample the cuisine and libations of the completely refurbished and updated premises.
Meeting at the opposite end of the day, to our usual Breakfast gatherings, we will get together straight from work from 5.30 for a 6 start, on Wednesday 19th July. This is an informal summer social for members, with guests and visitors very welcome, to meet and network in the relaxed surroundings of The Welcome.
In time honoured fashion there is also a serious purpose to our socials, as the meeting will help to raise valuable funds for The Friends of Conquest Hospital MRI Scanner appeal. Tickets can be purchased online from our events page at a cost of £10 + VAT a head.
