The start of a New Year is always a good time to review the previous one, if only to remind you just how much you achieved. By way of summary we’ve pulled together an infographic summary below of our 2016 headlines.
Hopefully you’ll agree this reflects well on the Chamber and its members highlighting what a vibrant and varied range of events and topics that helps inform the business community as well as providing them opportunities to influence, debate and network.
We will continue to do this throughout 2017 as well as campaign on key local issues such as High Speed rail connection to London, improved road links, especially along the A21, and the crucial implications on business as BREXIT unfolds.
So if you are looking for opportunities to be better informed, or want to influence and debate, contribute to our campaigns or simply want to network then the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce will give you all of these opportunities.
Visitors are always welcome, so why not come to our first meeting of the year which takes place on Thursday 26th January at the White Rock Theatre between 7.30 and 9.15am.
We will be joined by Peter Chowney, leader of Hastings Borough Council, who will outline the Council’s corporate strategy and budget priorities for 2017, followed by a question and answer session.
By contrast we will also be joined by Anthony Fenner (Chairman) and Darrel Barsby (Community and Development Officer) from the Hastings Conquerors American Football team.
With the 2017 Super Bowl final just a couple of weeks away they will be along to tell us about their exciting expansion plans.
Next season the club is looking to make the sport more accessible for all via a Youth Section, a potential link up with Ark William Parker Academy, as well as expand the player base for the senior team, coaching and support staff.
